ImmKine from the Allergy Research Group is a Muramyl polysaccharide glycan complex (MPGC) which are pieces from the cell walls of bacteria. The body's immune system recognizes these fragments as related to a bacteria and forms an immune response to them. Part of this reaction includes activating macrophages, which increases the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and the production of microbicidal oxygen radicals.
